By Trish K. Magill

The Fender Bullet pictured is the "Fabled" Fender Bullet Telecaster, which never existed. The neck is a Fender Bullet USA neck purchased on eBay for $274 USD and a Paulownia Telecaster body purchased on eBay for $44 USD. Both were bought for a "bargain" price at the time. The guitar has Kluson tuners, Kluson string trees, custom shop pickups, Kluson ferrules, and Kluson strap buttons. The total weight of the guitar weighs 5 lbs. 6 oz.

The entire body was stained "black" then sanded down just enough to keep the stain in the wood grain, and the sides were left un-sanded, keeping the sides "black"; then the body was stained "yellow" on the front and back, and rubbed down.

The Fender USA Maple Bullet 1 neck was made in the original Fender Factory in Fullerton, California, one of the last Fender necks produced in the factory before it was closed and production moved overseas.

There were seven well-known Master-Craftsmen who created fabulous necks from the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s. Master Fender Craftsmen: I. Barra, G. Garcia, H. Gastelum, D. Hilliker, J. Moreno, J. Serna, and J. Torres.

The Fender USA Maple Bullet 1 neck has a soft V shape with "Nov 2 1983" stamped on the heel of the neck. The scale length of the guitar is 25.5 inches and the radius is 7.25.

I would add the “Lucky Strike” sticker as eye-candy on the front of the guitar.
