1958 Hootenanny Tenor Acoustic Made in Columbus, Ohio

The tenor is an easy player, noticeably light weight with a small O sized body that puts out an unbelievable amount of sound.

The acoustic tenor has new Grover style tuning pegs and a new pickguard.

The tenor guitar has a Chris Adjustomatic neck - to change the neck angle simply detune the strings, loosen the screw on the back on the guitar, and then adjust the angle of the neck to the body by turning the screw at the neck joint, then retighten the screw.

This is an all-maple guitar. The body and neck are maple, as well as the stained-maple fingerboard.

The Jackson Guldan Chris Adjustomatic Hootenanny tenor is thirty-six inches long putting it in the Parlor Guitar size range. The acoustic has a 24 1/2-inch scale length. The lower bout is thirteen inches wide, and the upper bout is 9 3/8 inches wide. The tenor's nut is 1 1/4 inches in length. The overall weight or the guitar is three pounds and ten ounces.

The guitar comes apart in two pieces - the neck and the body. A threaded bolt turns against a 90-degree angle iron to adjust the string action. The guitar can be disassembled, reassembled and the string action can be set with the use of a Philips screwdriver.

Jackson Guldan Violin Co was a manufacturer of stringed musical instruments and once the largest violin maker in the U.S., which operated from the first half of the 20th century from 1915 to 1971. The company produced violins, fiddles, and violas as its primary product and secondly, acoustic guitars carrying the brand name Adjustomatic. Less costly violin imports from Germany led to the company's slow decline.
