The Ovation Cutaway Legend model 1867 was created with a super-shallow back (bowl) which is a great guitar for live stage work. Model 1867 featured the OP-24 preamp system, bound ebony fretboard with diamond shaped fret inlays and gold colored Schaller tuners. The top of the guitar was made from Spruce wood. The Ovation Legend 1867 was recommended by Robert Fripp's Guitar Craft, coming as close to the depth of an electric guitar as was possible.
